Through partnerships with leading educational institutions and organizations, the Canada–Peru Chamber of Commerce promotes scholarship programs, academic initiatives, and social impact projects that expand access to education, strengthen capacities in key sectors, and promote healthy habits to improve the well-being of vulnerable communities. These alliances aim to empower young talent, foster educational inclusion, and promote healthy and accessible eating habits for a more equitable and sustainable development of the country.

The Canada–Peru Chamber of Commerce collaborates with UTEC to provide comprehensive and academic scholarships for talented youth from Lima and other regions, facilitating access to careers in science, engineering, and technology.

UTEC – Full and Academic Scholarships

 

The Canada–Peru Chamber of Commerce collaborates with UTEC on its Comprehensive and Academic Scholarship Program, aimed at providing access to higher education in science, engineering, and technology for high-potential youth from both Lima and the provinces.

 

The Comprehensive Scholarship covers five full years of academic study and includes student housing, meals, transportation, health insurance, a laptop, academic advising, continuous performance monitoring, English classes, integration activities, and graduation certification.

 

The Academic Scholarship, designed for students from Lima, provides full academic coverage, personal advising, and professional development opportunities.

 

The selection process is rigorous and includes academic exams, competency-based interviews, and psychological evaluations to ensure candidates have strong leadership potential. UTEC leads outreach efforts in top-performing schools (COAR) and other institutions nationwide.

 

Through this agreement, more companies can join as sponsors or donors, reinforcing the joint commitment to quality education and the development of Peru’s future technology leaders.

CETEMIN – Full Technical Scholarship Program

Through a partnership with CETEMIN, the Canada–Peru Chamber of Commerce provides full scholarships for technical careers related to the mining sector, aimed at young people from communities linked to the industry.

CETEMIN – Full Technical Scholarship Program

 

As part of its commitment to quality technical education, the Canada–Peru Chamber of Commerce partners with CETEMIN to provide full scholarships for young people from communities linked to the mining and industrial sectors.

 

This agreement offers full scholarships for various technical careers at CETEMIN campuses in Lima and Arequipa, including Mining Exploration and Operations, Metallurgical Processes, Industrial Safety, Heavy Machinery Maintenance, Electrical Systems and Industrial Instrumentation Maintenance, and Industrial Maintenance Management.

 

Scholarships cover the full academic program—lasting 11 to 16 months depending on the specialty—as well as lodging, meals, accident insurance, equipment loans, and ongoing professional support. CETEMIN's educational model combines virtual theory with intensive in-person practice through Project-Based Learning (PBL), and real work simulations via the EFSRT (Experiential Learning in Real Work Situations) program.

 

The agreement aims not only to strengthen the technical profile of the beneficiaries but also to enhance their employability. Students have access to job fairs, interview training, CV workshops, and a network of over 200 companies for job placement. Graduates receive a nationally recognized technical diploma with the option to validate studies at the university level.

 

This initiative is part of a shared commitment to reduce educational inequality and promote sustainable regional development.

EXCUELA – Project “Education to Combat Anemia”

With support from the Canada–Peru Chamber of Commerce, EXCUELA is carrying out the “Education to Combat Anemia” project, which promotes healthy eating habits and aims to prevent childhood anemia in rural communities across Peru.

EXCUELA – “Education to Combat Anemia” Project

 

To help improve child health in rural areas, the Canada–Peru Chamber of Commerce, with the support of EXCUELA, is leading the “Education to Combat Anemia” project. This initiative seeks to reduce childhood anemia by promoting healthy, affordable, and culturally appropriate eating habits.

 

The project includes the development of educational scripts and content based on the Misión Huascarán program, the digital adaptation of these materials to EXCUELA’s mobile application, and the deployment of the platform in selected communities.

 

The project aims to generate a direct impact in rural communities by delivering practical, accessible educational content through a mobile application tailored to their needs. It will also raise awareness of childhood anemia through interactive materials and inclusive digital campaigns.

 

This partnership reflects both institutions’ commitment to sustainable development, digital inclusion, and child health in Peru.
