The province of Alberta is in the western part of Canada, with a population of approximately 4.6 million. Edmonton, the capital of Alberta and the fifth largest city in Canada, is a vibrant, growing, and multicultural city home to NAIT since 1962, the largest polytechnic in Western Canada.

Alberta is the only province in all Canada where residents, including international students, do not pay provincial taxes on any purchases they make and have free access to doctors and hospitals, making Alberta one of the most affordable places to live. In addition, the province of Alberta provides energy to the country with about 70% of the country's oil and natural gas production and has one of the highest paid minimum wages.

More than 2,800 international students from over 100 countries join NAIT to enhance their skills and put them into practice by quickly integrating into various industry sectors. For this reason, most students successfully integrate into industry upon graduation.

The four pillars that sustain NAIT are:

  1. The technology component in all its programs

  1. Broad partnership with industry

  1. Applied research

  1. Practical education

To study a specialization and be accepted into most NAIT programs, it is essential to have a score of 115 on the Duolingo exam and to have completed high school. In addition, some NAIT programs also require higher education and industry experience for admission.

Those who do not meet the English language requirement, they may choose to enroll in NAIT's English program. Some of the majors, such as business, have provisional admission through this program.

In summary, studying at NAIT is the best way to grow professionally, because it provides a vision that transcends borders. NAIT offers programs in diverse areas such as: Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Digital Media, Business, Information Technology, and others.

The average annual income of NAIT graduates is around 40,000 Canadian dollars per year. Therefore, most of the graduates recoup their investment during their first year of work. All NAIT students (except ESL - English as a Second Language) are eligible to receive a post graduate work permit. This proves that studying abroad in a place like Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and precisely at NAIT, is feasible.
