JJC Group: 70 Years Building Unique, Lasting Projects

In 2025, JJC proudly celebrates 70 years of experience, consolidating its position as a benchmark in the construction industry and making the country’s most complex projects possible.

Since 1955, the company has been both a witness to and a driving force behind urban development and rural growth across various regions, transforming each place and serving multiple sectors, especially mining.

“Nearly 400 projects have been built by JJC since 1955, projects that reflect the progress and development of infrastructure in Peru and the region. This legacy fills us with pride, as we continue to build something truly meaningful, making this year especially significant for us,” said Sebastián Martín, Corporate General Manager of JJC Group.

Leadership in Construction

The commitment to excellence has been a pillar of the organization’s success. Today, emblematic projects include the Ministry of Defense (Pentagonito), Petroperú’s headquarters, the intersection of Primavera Avenue and Caminos del Inca Avenue, the first Hiraoka store, Velasco Astete Airport in Cusco, the Camisea Gas Plant, the Royal Decameron Hotel in Punta Sal, and the modernization of the Multipurpose Terminal in Callao.

JJC’s ability to construct complex, high-quality projects on time—or even ahead of schedule—and with strict cost control has positioned the company as a reliable and predictable strategic partner in the region. This has led to the development of projects in other countries, such as Colombia (Cartagena Refinery Expansion) and Chile (Laja Hydroelectric Plant).

Currently, the company is executing five major contracts in Peru and is expanding into Argentina to share its expertise in mining construction.

Mining Construction Specialists

Over the past 70 years, JJC has executed some of the most complex projects in Peruvian mining, enriching its expertise thanks to the trust of its clients. In this regard, it has delivered more than 90 projects across various regions, providing flexible and adaptable solutions tailored to each need—whether in earthworks, civil works, electromechanical assembly, EPC projects, among others.

Johnny Villanueva, Corporate Operations Manager, stated: “As Jorge Camet, the company’s founder, used to say, every project we build is like a work of art, as they are often unique in their construction process. That’s why we make sure to add extra value to each one, caring for our people and creating opportunities in the communities where we operate.”

Recognized Integrated Management System

JJC is the first major construction company in the country to implement an Integrated Management System certified under four ISO standards: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 50001:2018. Additionally, it holds two certifications from the World Compliance Association: ISO 37001:2016 and ISO 37301:2021, which ensure a robust Ethics and Compliance System across all its operations.

With seven decades of building progress, JJC reaffirms its commitment to excellence, safety, integrity, and reliability—looking to the future with a firm conviction to be the first choice in the construction sector.
